"Zach, why did you choose surrogacy to have a son instead of getting married?"
Before Zachary could answer Sienna's question, his cell phone rang, breaking the silence between them. He barely glanced at the screen and made no move to answer it, as though whoever was calling could wait.
Curious, Sienna looked at the illuminated screen. The moment she saw the caller ID: Little Boss. A knowing smile spread across her face.
"It's Sky," she said softly. "I feel bad. He's probably starving by now."
Her eyes shifted to the digital clock on the dashboard. It was already close to eight in the evening.
Zachary looked at her, and the concern in his eyes made her chest tighten.
"Can you answer it for me?" he asked in his usual calm voice. "He won't complain if he hears your voice."
Without hesitation, Sienna picked up the phone and switched it to speaker mode. Before she could even greet him, Skylar's cheerful but impatient voice came through the speakers.
