In a quiet village surrounded by tall trees, there was an old abandoned house. People said no one should go near it, especially at night. They believed something strange lived there.
One evening, a boy named Arif was walking home when he saw a black cat sitting near the gate of that house. The cat's eyes were glowing in the dark. It didn't move, just stared at him silently.
Arif felt a little scared, but also curious. The next day, he went back to the same place. The cat was there again. This time, it slowly walked inside the old house and then looked back, as if it wanted Arif to follow.
After thinking for a moment, Arif followed the cat. Inside, the house was dusty and cold. The floor made creaky sounds with every step. The cat led him to a small room and then suddenly disappeared.
Arif looked around nervously. Then he noticed an old wooden box in the corner. When he opened it, he found some old letters and a small photo of a family. Suddenly, he heard a soft sound behind him.
He turned around and saw the black cat again. But this time, it looked different—calm, not scary. Arif felt that the cat wasn't harmful. Maybe it was trying to show something.
Later, he showed the letters to the villagers. They realized the house once belonged to a family who had disappeared many years ago. The cat might have been their pet, still guarding their memories.
From that day, people were no longer afraid of the house. And sometimes, at night, the black cat could still be seen sitting quietly—watching, protecting, and waiting.
