Chapter 1 - Yuge Yuge Tumi Amar Sathi,part-3

Yuge Yuge Tumi Amar Sathi – Part 3

(A Beautiful Romantic Story | ~900 words)

The soft autumn sunlight filtered through the window, spreading a warm glow across the room. Parikshit sat quietly on the edge of his bed, holding an old diary in his hands. The pages had turned yellow with time, yet every word still carried the weight of his past—his love, his pain, and the story of everything he couldn't have.

Last night kept replaying in his mind.

After so many years… he had seen her again. Ishita.

The one he had once believed was his entire world—now belonged to someone else.

And yet, in her eyes, he had seen something unchanged.

That same warmth… that same silent pull… something time had failed to erase.

The next evening, Parikshit found himself walking back to the old park.

Deep inside, he carried a quiet hope—maybe she would come again.

And she did.

She stood near the same bench, wrapped in a light blue saree, her hair flowing freely, her eyes filled with unspoken emotions.

Parikshit paused for a moment before saying softly,

"You came… I didn't think you would."

Ishita smiled faintly,

"I didn't think I would either… but my heart didn't listen."

Silence fell between them.

The rustling leaves and distant bird calls only made that silence deeper.

After a while, Ishita spoke,

"How are you, Parikshit?"

He gave a small smile,

"I'm fine… or maybe just trying to be."

She lowered her gaze, her eyes glistening.

"I couldn't forget you…"

Her voice trembled as the words escaped.

Parikshit looked at her, surprised,

"Then why… why did you leave me?"

Ishita took a deep breath,

"For my father… for my family… I couldn't fight for us.

Back then, I thought time would fix everything."

She paused, her voice barely a whisper,

"But I was wrong."

A dull ache spread across Parikshit's chest.

Even after finally hearing the truth, it didn't bring him peace.

"And now?" he asked quietly.

Ishita stood still for a moment before answering,

"Now I'm trapped in responsibilities.

I have a family… a husband… but no love."

Her words cut through him like a blade.

"What do you want now?" he asked, his tone slightly firm.

Ishita looked straight into his eyes,

"I don't want anything… I just wanted to tell you once—

I still love you."

Time seemed to freeze.

Wasn't this what he had waited to hear for years?

And yet… he knew—this love had no future.

He spoke slowly,

"Love isn't just about being together, Ishita.

Sometimes… letting go is the purest form of love."

Tears rolled down her cheeks,

"Can you forgive me?"

Parikshit smiled gently,

"I forgave you long ago.

Because without losing you, I would never have understood how deep love can be."

A sudden breeze passed between them, breaking the stillness.

Ishita wiped her tears,

"Can we… at least be friends again?"

Parikshit thought for a moment,

"Friends…?

Maybe we can. But that friendship will always carry unsaid words… and unfinished feelings."

She nodded softly,

"Even then… I want to try."

The sun was setting slowly, painting the sky in shades of red—

beautiful, yet painful… just like their story.

Parikshit stood up,

"We should go now… it's getting late."

Ishita looked at him quietly,

"Will you come here again?"

He smiled faintly,

"Maybe… if fate allows."

Ishita walked away slowly.

Parikshit stood there, alone once again.

For a moment, it all felt like a dream.

But one thing had become clear to him—

love never truly ends.

It simply changes its form.

That night, he opened his diary again.

On a fresh page, he wrote—

"Today I saw her again…

She still loves me, and I still love her.

Yet we are not together—

because love is not always about union,

sometimes its beauty lies in separation."

Moonlight fell softly through the window.

Parikshit closed his eyes.

In his heart, he whispered—

"Across lifetimes, across ages…

maybe in another life, we will be together, Ishita."

A faint smile touched his lips,

while a silent tear rolled down his cheek.

(To be continued…)

True love never fades; it lives silently within the heart forever.
