Aiden was like a dog.
I mean, quite literally, like a dog.
Or maybe I should’ve said he was like a puppy.
Actually, I could have just said he was like a puppy from the start.
But up until recently, I genuinely thought of him as a real dog, so that wasn’t entirely wrong either.
“What’s on your mind, Lili?” Lord Aiden Evans, who seemed to have turned back into a puppy from a dog within the span of a few months, asked.
I shook my head slowly.
I couldn’t possibly tell him that I was pondering whether he was more like a dog or a puppy when he looked like he was about to wag his non-existent tail any moment now.
Of course, given that it was Aiden, he'd probably be okay with that statement too.
"Aren't you busy, Aiden?"
‘I might have free time right now, but I doubt you have any to spare.’
Instead, I skillfully changed the subject.
