I had a feeling that someone was teasing me.
Perhaps they held a deep grudge against me and that was why they felt the need to torment me in this manner.
That's why I suspected they might be making fun of me.
"The situation... has changed considerably."
The young boy gently curved his eyes again as he spoke.
His manner of speaking was distinct from that of other children, almost as if he were a member of the imperial family who had received formal etiquette training.
But above all else...
"I must look unfamiliar to you now. It took me quite some time to adapt as well. Back then, you were just as big as I am right now.”
The clear and cheerful voice of a prepubescent boy rang in my ears. It was entirely out of character, making it all the more suspicious.
