Chapter 25 - chapter 25

The Void-Wood now cast a shadow over the Dothraki Sea, but it was a shadow that brought cool water and blooming lavender instead of fear. From the high balconies of the floating forest, the Seven Lords looked down at a world that was rapidly losing its ability to be cruel.

Kaelen was currently teaching Aurelion how to "Transmute" the clouds into giant, fluffy sheep that could be sheared for starlight-wool. Dunk stood nearby, his massive hand resting on the hilt of a sword he hadn't needed to draw in months.

The Great Khalasar's Silence

Below, a hundred thousand Dothraki riders had gathered at Vaes Dothrak. They had come to challenge the "Sky-Forest," but as they looked up, their horses—more sensitive to the Void than their riders—simply sat down and began to purr like oversized kittens.

Thranduil and Egg descended together on the back of a massive, iridescent Void-Drake.

"They value strength," Thranduil noted, his voice carrying the weight of a mountain. "But they do not understand that true strength is the ability to hold the universe still."

The Conversion of the Great Grass Sea

Egg didn't use fire. He used Draconic Resonance.

The Song: Egg sang a note that vibrated in the blood of every Dothraki. It didn't hurt; it simply washed away the "Bloodlust" and replaced it with a "Lust for Botany."

The Shift: The dry, yellow grass of the Steppes began to turn into deep, vibrant teal. Fruit trees erupted from the sand, their branches heavy with "Void-Peaches" that could sustain a man for a week.

"No more 'Screaming Stone' cities," Egg declared. "From now on, you are the Gardeners of the East. If you want to ride, ride for the joy of the wind, not the cry of the slave."

The High Inquisitor's Library

Back in Meereen, Olenna Tyrell had moved into the Great Pyramid and was currently reorganizing the entire social structure of Essos with a single quill pen and a very sharp tongue.

"This 'Wise Masters' nonsense," Olenna muttered to Gandalf, who was busy enchanting the city's fountains to pour chilled mint tea. "They weren't wise, and they certainly aren't masters anymore. I've turned the head of the Yunkan delegation into a very decorative footstool. He's much more useful that way."

"A bit harsh, Lady Olenna?" Gandalf chuckled.

"Nonsense. He matches the rug perfectly," she snapped. "Now, tell me more about this 'Ring of Power' business from your old world. It sounds like a dreadfully tacky piece of jewelry. I prefer my Void-Amulet; it doesn't try to talk back."

The Seventh Lord's Masterpiece

Aurelion was growing at a stabilized rate, his mind expanding into the molecular geometry of the planet. While the others focused on people, the youngest Lord focused on the Earth.

He reached out from the Void-Wood and touched the "Smoking Sea" of Valyria once more.

The Purification: The volcanic toxins were transmuted into breathable ozone.

The Reconstruction: The shattered spires of the Freehold didn't just rise; they were rebuilt out of Living Glass.

Valyria was no longer a tomb. It was the New Capital of the Void-Wood, a city of light and stasis where the Seven Lords could house the brightest minds of the world.

The Council of Seven: Current Domains

Kaelen gathered his family for tea as the sun set over the now-peaceful continent.

"Master," Dunk rumbled, stepping onto the porch. "The people of the world are starting to call us the 'New Gods.' They're building shrines."

Kaelen sighed, leaning back in his rocker. "Tell them to stop. Shrines are dusty and boring. If they want to thank us, tell them to plant a tree and learn a second language. And Dunk?"

"Yes, Master?"

"Make sure Olenna doesn't turn the Iron Bank into a petting zoo. I know she's tempted, but we need someone to handle the paperwork for the spice trade."

Dunk gave a crisp, earth-shaking salute. "I'll do my best, sir. But she's very persuasive."

As the stars of the new world began to twinkle—many of them now augmented by Ereinion's light-magic—the family of the Void sat in a silence that was finally, truly, Cozy.
