"Why were we doing this again?" Francis his voice full of despair and tiredness , after living in the comfort of modern technology beyond what we would understand imagine suddenly being forced to meet nature in its rawest form
"I hate the Sand I hate the Sun I hate these mosquitoes , I hate fucking everything , I'm a fucking Immortal and I'm dying because of some insects."

With no tail , and having his body before 'The Change' it basically just felt like a brother decided to annoy your ass up…
"Stop whining and build a shelter" Kiana's voice seemed to wake them up from that little trance they had , he wasn't even looking at them , his hands weaving some palm leaves with surprising skills.
"I thought you couldn't do that?" asked Reynold , he remembered how Kiana was basically only really good at a few things and this was not one of them.
"When you have all the powers in the world including time stop and time dilation you'd learn skills that you find interesting enough andddd—done!" He said with a cheerful voice.
"Oh not bad at all" it would be enough to at least stop most of the rain from coming from their makeshift shelter assuming it would rain later on , as for their 'shelter' well it's nothing fancy , just a few branches as the support with some leaves at the floor.
It was truly screaming 'survival' for the boys of course after feeling the comfort of technology and human advancement it wasn't exactly something everybody would enjoy but-

To be honest I thought it would be a nice change of pace ya know? Just living like ordinary humans , it had been a while after all , ever since 'The Change' I had been adapting and learning about the world , about my powers , and now?
"THIS FUCKING FIRE WON'T LIGHT UP" I screamed in rage and annoyance , it would've it easy , I could just 'envision' it , than again Kiana did say it was like those Island survival ones.

"…" Silence for a brief moment , for many 'The Change' had changed their lives , of course not everyone , to be exact 66.66667 bla3 % actually got 'changed'
From ordinary humans—
—To someone with the ability to see all possible endings related to him , to a powerful calorie inefficient snake girl , to someone who can 'envision' things as he wishes and to become the person who creates those endings.
Of course even the other 2 who didn't get powers survived till the end , becoming immortals and famous streamers across the solar system , the current advancement of technology is fast.
Perhaps soon even the entire universe would be conquered , maybe reaching a point where everyone can return from each to their own worlds , their own universes expanding to a multiverse.
A contradiction , a funny one at that , a life that can never return to how it used to be. If you asked any human or remnant from the era before 'The Change' would you wish to return before everything happened?
They would most likely say no , the currents of time have made many forget the pain and suffering 'The Change' inflicted. Many of the younger generations think of it as a myth of the past , heck they even think the Pillars are just myths.
"Say Kiana" I asked , it was a whimsical thought , it could even be seen as disrespectful by some
"Mhm?" He replied , his voice full of emotion waiting for an answer

"…" Silence , he went silent almost instantly for a solid 20 seconds I'd say before replying—

Yet they carried the same feeling of the Kiana I remembered—No the ███ before 'The Change' perhaps these were their true feelings , perhaps it's something only between them that I'd never understand.
"I see" that was all I could mutter , at the very least right now , many thoughts run rampant in my head but in a way I guess even I had forgotten. These Pillars at the very least 4 of them were once ordinary humans whether it be from this world or from the world they came from.
"Anyways—Let's catch some fish!" He continued , as if that solemn and melancholic look was but a lie , in a way it's funny , if asked He'd probably explain everything like it's nothing , but at least for now—It was a week away from technology.
Later on we did catch some fish which we frilled for dinner , seasoning it with salt water from the ocean , it was a unique experience , one that we haven't done in a while , modern technology had made everything instant , one where even basic biological function like eating actual food was optional , besides my cooking skills were still there—Heh
And that was how the first day came to an end.
