Valeria stood rapidly from her seat in the coffee shop, pushing her chair back with so much force that it made a loud, scraping noise against the floor. The sudden action caught the attention of people around her, and a few students sitting at nearby tables stopped talking to turn and stare at her, wondering what was going on, but Valeria doesn't notice the eyes of the strangers on her at all. She didn't care about the people around her or the noise she had just made. Her eyes were stuck to the man standing a few feet from her, and she couldn't look away even if she wanted to.
