"You did what?" Lenora had a hand over her mouth, her eyes were glued to Theon's frame, wide in shock.
Theon had just told them he'd told Azaria he liked her. He said she had walked out after he had told her that truth. He had said to her what they were carefully trying to ease her into out of the blue.
"Theon, we had a pla–"
"I couldn't handle it. I had to." He ran both hands through his hair in frustration. "It's killing me every day that I can't be with her, mum. I had to." He sat heavily on the couch and Lenora hurried to his side and knelt in front of him.
She took one of his hands gently in both of hers and sighed. "I cannot tell you that I know what you feel, but I know I would have most likely felt the same if I had to stay away from your father."
