I stared at her for a moment after she said it, really looked at her, and it was almost funny how different she seemed now, because just a few minutes ago she had been teasing and laughing, but now there was something softer in her eyes, something almost shy, and the way her cheeks turned slightly pink when she mentioned his name made everything even more obvious.
"You're blushing," I said slowly, my brows lifting a little as I watched her.
She rolled her eyes immediately, but the smile on her face gave her away.
"I am not," she said, trying to sound serious, but it didn't quite work.
"You are," I insisted, and this time I couldn't help the small smile that came with it. "And it's actually surprising, because I didn't think someone like you would fall for someone like him."
She let out a soft laugh and shook her head, brushing her hair back slightly.
