Suraj was a poor boy, but he was very intelligent and handsome. Since childhood, he had always been interested in studying. After completing his school education, he went to the city to pursue higher studies. To reduce his expenses, he also started working in his free time.
As time passed, Suraj began settling into college life. After a few days, he became friends with a boy named Rohan.
One day, Suraj and Rohan were walking back home. It was the rainy season, and the roads were wet and muddy. Suddenly, a car sped past them. The muddy water collected on the roadside splashed directly onto Suraj, covering his clothes.
Rohan got angry and shouted loudly,
"Hey! Don't you know how to drive properly?"
Just then, the car stopped. A girl stepped out and looked at them. Without saying much, she took out a bundle of money and handed it to Suraj. She said,
"Buy new clothes."
But Suraj did not accept it. He calmly returned the money to her hand and said,
"I don't need your money. Please leave."
The girl looked surprised, but she didn't argue. She quietly got back into the car and left.
After some time, the same girl came to Suraj's village. She needed land there for her project and also had some other work. She was actually the friend of Suraj's sister, but neither Suraj nor the girl knew about this connection.
Her name was Rekha.
Rekha reached Suraj's house and entered inside. As soon as Suraj saw her, he was shocked.
Suraj asked,
"Why have you come here?"
At the same moment, Rekha looked at him and said,
"What are you doing here?"
Rekha then replied,
"This is my friend Mansi's house."
Suraj was surprised and said,
"Mansi is my sister."
Just then, Suraj's sister Mansi came out and smiled happily after seeing Rekha. She immediately took Rekha inside the house.
Rekha felt embarrassed. She realized that her earlier behavior with Suraj had been rude and wrong.
However, Suraj did not say anything about the past. He forgot everything and brought water for everyone. Soon, they all sat together and started talking normally.
During the conversation, Rekha told Mansi,
"I want to buy some land in this village for my project. I also have a few other things to do. I will have to stay here for about two or three weeks."
Then Rekha asked,
"Is there any hotel in this village?"
Mansi smiled and replied,
"No, there is no hotel here. You will stay at my house."
Rekha felt relieved.
The next day, Rekha took Suraj with her to visit different places in the village to see the land and complete her work. Suraj guided her and helped her in everything.
Slowly, the awkwardness between them disappeared. Their behavior towards each other became friendlier and more respectful.
While returning home, they saw an ice cream cart on the roadside. Rekha smiled and said,
"Let's eat ice cream."
Suraj agreed. Both of them ate ice cream together and returned home.
