Chapter 1 – The Fall of the Demon Emperor
The Betrayal
The story opens in the Sacred Domain, where the sky is torn apart by an epic battle. Zhuo Yifan, known as the Magic Emperor or Demonic Emperor, is the strongest expert in the realm. He has finally obtained the legendary "Nine Serenities Secret Records," an ancient manual left by a Demon Saint that holds the secrets to ultimate power.
However, his path to godhood is cut short. He is cornered by the Seven Saints of the Sacred Domain and his own trusted disciple, Zhao Chen.
Zhuo Yifan: "Zhao Chen! I treated you like my own son, taught you everything I knew... and yet, you betray me for a manual?"
Zhao Chen: "Master, you are too powerful. As long as you are alive, I will always be in your shadow. Give me the Nine Serenities Secret Records, and perhaps I will give you a quick death!"
The Final Stand
Zhuo Yifan laughs maniacally, realizing that in the path of the Demon, there is no room for trust. Despite being mortally wounded and surrounded, he refuses to let his enemies have the prize.
"If I cannot have it, no one will!" Zhuo Yifan shouts.
Instead of surrendering, he uses his remaining soul power to trigger a Self-Detonation. A massive explosion of demonic energy consumes everything, obliterating his physical body and, seemingly, the secret manual itself.
Rebirth in a Weak Body
Zhuo Yifan's soul, however, does not vanish. Guided by the mysterious power of the Nine Serenities, his spirit drifts through the void and possesses the body of a young man who has just died.
He wakes up gasping for air, feeling a sharp pain in his chest. But something is wrong. He feels incredibly weak.
Location: The Luo Family Estate.
New Identity: Zhuo Fan, a lowly family steward (servant).
The Situation: The boy was killed during a raid by bandits.
The Heart Curse
As Zhuo Yifan tries to process his situation, he feels a strange constriction in his heart. This is a Heart Spirit Curse. Because he has taken over this body, he is now bound by the original owner's final wishes and emotions.
The original Zhuo Fan was deeply loyal to the Luo Family, specifically to the young mistress, Luo Yunchang, and her little brother.
Zhuo Fan (Thinking): "I, the great Magic Emperor, have been reborn as a mere servant? And I am forced to protect these weaklings because of this body's lingering regrets? If I don't fulfill his wish, my soul will never be at peace, and my cultivation will be forever blocked!"
The Meeting
Just then, a beautiful but distressed young woman rushes toward him. It is Luo Yunchang.
Luo Yunchang: "Zhuo Fan! You're alive! Please, you have to help us... the bandits are everywhere, and our guards are falling!"
Zhuo Fan looks at her with cold, Emperor-like eyes. He isn't the kind-hearted servant she remembers anymore. He is a ruthless demon in the skin of a boy.
"Fine," Zhuo Fan mutters, a dark smirk forming on his face. "Since I am stuck in this body, I shall start my climb back to the top from this pathetic Luo family. Anyone who stands in my way... will learn why I was called the Demon Emperor."
