Bang!
In his rage, Abomination showed no mercy just because Ross had once been his commanding officer. His fists slammed mercilessly into the armored vehicle tearing down the road in a frantic escape.
With a tremendous crash, the heavy armor was ripped apart as easily as paper, and the enormous force split the vehicle cleanly in two.
"Roar!"
After doing all of that, Abomination seemed to have vented most of his anger. He panted lightly and swept his gaze across the surroundings.
The once-bustling street had long since been reduced to wreckage. Not a single one of Ross's soldiers was still standing, and the thick scent of blood in the air finally restored a trace of Abomination's reason.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he just so happened to see Fenris quietly staring at him from the distance.
"Hiss..."
The instant he saw that terrifying figure, Abomination felt his scalp go numb.
The moment their eyes met, he did not hesitate at all. He turned and sprinted out of the city. Hulk, who had once filled his mind completely, had already been thrown far out of his thoughts.
Revenge? Proving himself? Under the iron fist of justice, none of that meant a thing.
"In the end, the innocent soldiers still suffered."
Watching Abomination's massive figure gradually leave, causing who knew how much more chaos with a string of crashes along the way, Tony still could not help turning his head away.
"Fenris, I'll leave the rest to you."
After leaving those words behind, Tony's metal visor snapped shut. The few remaining thrusters ignited, and he left the scene directly.
"An enemy is an enemy. What does innocence have to do with it?"
Fenris neither agreed nor disagreed with Tony's thinking. His heart remained completely unmoved as he withdrew his gaze.
"Fenris, Abomination is getting pretty far away."
Bruce reminded him carefully from the side.
Every time he was hunted by Ross, he had to face scenes like this after waking up. Over time, Bruce had long since grown used to it, and he even had enough presence of mind to keep an eye on Abomination's movements.
"Give me one minute."
Before the words had even finished leaving his mouth, Bruce felt a faint breeze brush past him. One second, Fenris had still been standing beside him. The next, he had appeared in the distance as if he had flickered through thin air.
The speed Fenris displayed had no technique to it. It relied entirely on his absurd physical strength and nerve response.
Titan could flexibly control a body over a hundred meters tall. His body's reaction speed was unreasonable by nature.
If it were any ordinary creature, by the time the signal driving its body crossed a hundred meters and reached the target limb, several seconds would have already passed. There would be no flexibility to speak of.
With that kind of reaction speed, even Pietro would not be able to gain much of an advantage in front of Fenris.
In the distance, Abomination was not slow either.
Only a few minutes had passed, yet he had already crossed several blocks. It was not until he looked back and saw that everything behind him was calm, with no sign of that familiar figure, that he finally let out a breath of relief.
"Ah!"
"Isn't that the monster the military was surrounding? Why is it here?"
After he broke out of the sealed-off area, the crowd here was even denser.
The moment Abomination suddenly appeared, the crowd instantly began fleeing in panic. Still, a few bold ones actually pulled out cameras and started taking pictures.
"Damn Peter Parker. Of all times, his phone won't go through. I'm definitely docking his pay tomorrow!"
"Hey, kid, are you selling that camera?"
"I'm the boss of a newspaper. I need that camera to get firsthand shots of this monster."
"Sure. Two hundred dollars!"
"Damn it, you little vampire! Fine, I'll buy it. Give me the camera!"
"Kid! Why isn't there any film in this camera?"
"Film costs extra. Three hundred dollars."
"You're even more ruthless than I am!"
The noisy voices of the crowd poured into Abomination's ears, but by now, he had already lost the urge to destroy. He strode forward, wanting only to get as far away from that man as possible.
"Hey."
A lazy voice suddenly came from the road ahead, right in his path.
Abomination narrowed his eyes. Amid the chaotic crowd in front of him, a tall, straight figure had appeared there without a sound at some unknown point.
"He... caught up?"
A chill ran down Abomination's back, and he immediately turned to flee in the opposite direction.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Fenris followed like a shadow. With one step, he blocked Abomination's path again. No matter how Abomination tried to dodge, it was useless.
"Gulp."
A strong sense of danger rose in him. Abomination felt as if the man before him were an uncrossable mountain, firmly blocking his way.
Immediately afterward, an icy chill that only he could sense quietly enveloped him.
For a moment, Abomination was like a mouse before a cat. Under that suffocating pressure, his massive body actually began trembling in front of everyone.
"I'll go. I'll go with you..."
Seeing that there was no escaping today, and as that pressure grew stronger and stronger, Abomination's vision went pale. He even sensed the threat of death.
Thud!
Without further hesitation, Abomination's legs bent cleanly, and he dropped heavily to his knees. "I'm willing to go with you!"
"Whoa!"
An uproar suddenly broke out around them. Countless people covered their mouths, unable to believe what they were seeing.
This hideous monster, one that even the military's guns and cannons could not handle, had actually submitted so easily in front of this man who looked as if he had no strength at all?
"Hey, kid, do you have any more film?"
"Five hundred dollars."
"Deal!"
A wildly inappropriate transaction suddenly rang out from the crowd.
"I lost. I'll go with you."
Abomination lowered his head, ignoring the surrounding commotion completely, while taking great care to avoid the gaze of the man in front of him.
"Remember this. My name is Fenris."
Abomination heard the young man's voice ring out again. This time, however, when it entered his ears, it no longer carried the bitter cruelty of winter from earlier.
That immediately made Abomination let out a breath of relief.
As for whether he would regret it later, that was not something he needed to consider right now. Surviving came first.
After all, this man who did not look particularly muscular really could beat him to death.
However, in the very next moment, the expression on Abomination's face took a complete one-eighty.
"This..."
At some point, the powerful pressure that had been covering him quietly melted away and instantly turned as warm and gentle as a spring breeze.
Abomination suddenly felt that Fenris had become extremely attractive, making him involuntarily want to move closer.
As the cells in his body sent up a warm, pleasant sensation, Abomination's eyes lit up at once. All the humiliation and reluctance in his tone disappeared in an instant.
"Fenris. No, Boss!"
"Please let me come with you!"
