Three weeks before the divorce.
"Explain this!"
Aarav's voice echoed through the living room as he threw a file onto the table.
Photos scattered across the floor.
Ananya stared at them, confusion turning into shock.
"I… I don't understand—"
"Don't lie!" Aarav snapped.
His eyes burned with anger.
"Meeting another man behind my back? Transferring money? What exactly are you planning?"
Her heart stopped.
"This isn't what it looks like—"
"Oh really?" he laughed bitterly. "Then what does it look like, Ananya? Charity work?"
Tears filled her eyes.
"You think I would betray you?"
"I don't think," he said coldly. "I know."
That one sentence destroyed her.
She took a step toward him.
"I married you because I loved you!"
Aarav's expression darkened.
"Loved me? Or my money?"
Silence.
Deadly silence.
Ananya felt like the ground disappeared beneath her feet.
"You really think that?" she whispered.
Aarav didn't answer.
But his silence… was answer enough.
Something inside her broke forever.
"Fine," she said softly, wiping her tears.
"If that's what you believe… then there's nothing left to say."
And that was the beginning of the end.
