In a bright yellow room, a veiny hand slipped under the black skirt of a lady who threw her head back in appreciation of the sensation she felt.
"You like that, don't you?" The rapsy voice of the man echoed through the empty hall.
"Yes, I really do" she gasped.
"Wonderful, because I need to stop right now. I have somewhere to be", he said stopping abruptly, looking at the watch on his left wrist.
The lady frowned in response, not happy about this new development.
"I'm sorry baby, but I'll stop by again when I'm done. It's really urgent"
"And you couldn't tell me before starting? You know what? Leave!" She rose her voice, turning away from him.
He embraced her and kissed her neck.
"I'm so sorry love, I'll make it up to you when I come back"
"You better"
He exited the building, got into his vehicle and drove back to his house.
...
"Layel, you came quick huh. I thought you'd come three hours after the meeting started" Zichen said
"Oh shut up, where's everyone?" Layel replied, taking off his coat.
"They're in the conference room. We should hurry" Zichen said walking towards the meeting room.
Roshan stood by the glass window downstairs, watching his brothers and other officers go upstairs for an important meeting.
For some reason, he wasn't allowed to join in the meeting. He didn't know why but he wouldn't concern himself with it.
He secretly suspected it was the other officers who were skeptical because of the legend of the platinum haired sorcerer. They believed he was the reincarnation.
And due to the majority of votes from the officers who were opposed to his joining, the king decided to listen to them to put them all at ease. The last thing the king needed was subjects plotting due to a little disagreement.
.....
"My king, the royal army is made up of the best of the best Delsgade has to offer, but this "best" has proved to be futile in the face of powerful adversary. We discovered that the attacks on the farmers and individuals that we believed were due to wild beasts were actually led by people-controlled beasts" an officer said grimly.
"What are you saying, officer Oni" the king spoke.
"My king, I'm saying that the beasts were sent to destroy farms and kill our people. It's thiriokinesis"
The King's face was contoured with a deep frown.
"The men of the army you sent some weeks ago have been killed or injured badly. The beasts are about thrice the size of person each due to eye witnesses. They lack intellect and as such, follow the orders of their master"
The King was silent as officer Oni spoke.
"May I suggest something my Lord?" A different voice spoke.
"What is it?"
"A temporary alliance with another kingdom. We need man power. There's only half of the royal army left. If we send them all to their deaths, who will protect the royal family and the capital city"
"The last royal meeting was held two years ago, my Lord. Enough time has passed. We need help or else our kingdom will be overcome with wild beats and their masters. Please consider this, my king" the second officer bowed.
Layel, Jihan and Zichen only observed without giving any contributions.
The other officers present were either for or against the suggestion.
Some believed there should be a temporary alliance formed to protect the peace and lives that made up the kingdom, others believed that since we were a sovereign kingdom and must handle our issues internally.
In no time, the meeting was concluded and the officers left one by one.
Once all the officers were out and it was just the royal family left, the children decided to speak..
"Father, what do you think would be a better choice?" Jihan asked.
"Actually I would like to know what you children think" the king replied.
Zichen spoke first, "Father, I think we should form the alliance. There's no point in allowing all our men to die while trying to protect our pride if we would most likely end up seeking out help later on"
The King thought about this briefly before nodding towards Layel.
"Well Father, I am with Zichen on this. It would be beneficial to retain our men and get help as well. Our land is fertile and we develop new medicines every six months or less. No kingdom would refuse the possibility of never falling sick again and good food. We control the earth and we bend it to our will"
The King pondered on this for longer but nodded at Jihan.
"Unlike the rest Father, I think we should utilize our own army. We have our pride to protect. We're a sovereign kingdom and as such should handle our problems within ourselves. Asking for help when it doesn't involve us fighting with other kingdoms would not be as beneficial as we think"
The King thought about what his sons had all said and nodded.
"I'm happy to hear that you all are not just following the crowd. You are giving me reasons why your choice is the better one. I will think about all you have said. Let us leave now, I'm quite famished"
They all got up and bowed, and followed their father out of the conference room.
.....
"Where is it?????? Where the fuck is it????!! Bring it out now!"
"I don't know what you're talking about. I really don't" trembled in fear
"The fucking amulet, where the fuck is it??!"
"I-i sold it yesterday. I'm sorry. I was really hungry and that was the only thing of value to sell"
"You should've sold your ass, you fool! So you know what will happen if we can't find that amulet???? Huh?!"
He shook his head
"You don't? You've just given the ability of thiriokinesis to a random fucking stranger????!!! You better get your ass up and go look for it."
"B-but...."
"Shut up! Go NOW!!!!!"
The man scurried away in a hurry.
"That fucking imbecile! I was supposed to sell that thing to the nobles of this kingdom for as much gold as I could get. Fuck!!!!!"
