It was a cold breeze as the wind whispered on the quiet household premises, standing on the dry earth as they're eyes were filled with determination, the two boys were preparing for battle.
Iris stood in the middle as she raised her right hand, as both the boys were ready to move, Arthur quickly slid out his long slander sword. "Ready!" Iris swung her hand gesturing the battle to start, she immediately leaped backwards.
Arthur sprinted forward with a sword on his hand, seeing as Blake hadn't moved an inch he took the advantage to strike first, was Blake feeling sacred again? Suddenly, Arthur's eyes caught on forming yellow energy on the ground, stunned, he slowed down his movement as something from the ground emerged in a high speed.
Easily evading by leaping back, he witnessed what had emerged. Hard rock spikes had appeared, the attack would have been fetal if he hadn't dodged. Scrunching his face perplexed, he realised who they belonged to. Before he could think further, another rock spikes had emerged from the ground.
"Impressive, Blake... Not giving me the chance to th—"
Think, was what Arthur was planning on saying but got cut by a swarm of flying stones approaching him at an unbelievable speed. Cling! Cling! Arthur swung his sword left and right countering the flying stones as he side-stepped and sprinted forward. Blake still in the same position stretched out both his arms.
"Ground strike!"
Consecutive amounts of spikes Rose from the ground and simultaneously aiming at Arthur, the lads reaction time was slow that one of the attack hit his waist hard.
The rocks didn't stop swarming him, yet he managed to cut those in the way with his sword imbued in yellow energy—divine energy.
"The way you recklessly use your attacks like a sore loser is pathetic, try harder!"
Right with a full swing he cleaved Blake's upper body, the sword made Ching! Sound seeing as the attack didn't cut Blake. Going for a full blown uppercut Arthur managed to block it by placing his sword downwards. The battle was proving to get intense with every offence and defence taking place like fireworks, fully reinforcing both his arms with hardened Rock, he dashed at the lad with full swing.
"You're going down Master! Hiyah!"
"Eck!"
Arthur immediately held his sword with both hands countering the swing, in terms of raw strength, Blake had the upper hand including his gift giving him the advantage to strike first. Sparks on the steel blade danced as Arthur released his sword, with his palm wide open, a gust of wind pushed Blake away.
"Annoying attack... Huh?!"
Before Blake recovered from the attack, Arthur gripped his sword and spun in the air, facing his sword backwards as he spun with great speed using his wind as buffs, he cut straight down on Blake's arms destroying the rock protection... The spinning attack managed to cut Blake's chest.
The boy sweating in terror swayed his right hand and yelled, " Ironthorn Bastille!"
The ground below Arthur rumbled violently, he saw large amount of energy flowing as shape was taking place, feeling a loud heart beat, he touched the ground generating a strong wind that took his body to the sky. As his body lifted up, spikes covered the entire area from where he was standing.
"Avis Volans!"
While in the air, Arthur channels another attack by creating three small wind pressure that shot at the ground with tremendous speed making a sound of slicing steel.
If my plan falls right then, with my attack 'Avis Volans' hitting Blake then he might block it using a defensive move, if he actually uses a defensive move then I'll ambush him with a true 'Avis Volans'
Blake standing confident even when his chest was bleeding, he creates a stone shield to prevent the attack from hitting him...but... After waiting long, he didn't hear anything attempting to penetrate him, worried as he was, he heard a sound of slicing steel from behind him.
"Wh-what?!" Blake muttered trembling, "l thought that attack moved straight, don't tell me l was fooled!"
'Avis Volans' wasn't an attack that moved straight judging from the intense speed, Arthur got inspiration from a bird that existed in his old world, the bird was called a peregrine falcon. But Avis Volans acted differently, changing its trajectory using divine energy allowed Arthur to manipulate this kind of speed, meaning this attack acted as a moving dynamite.
"Boom..."
"Not on my watch."
Feeling overconfident that the attack would land, Blake... simply smirked. Clutching tightly on his necklace, a gaint stone spike rose from the ground clashing with Avis Volans which caused an explosion.
Dust covered the area reducing visibility, Blake was unaware of his surroundings, where might Arthur Storm him? All he could do was scan around nervously, "Gah!" Blake breathed as he caught a glimpse of something glowing red in the dust. Soon after, a sword thrusted full speed at his chest.
The boy blocked the deadly attack with his hands crossed high. Trying to catch his breath, another thrust came at full speed, yet another block. It was impossible to track down Arthur until he had attacked.
"Ack! If l lose track of his movements then his sword might hit me, it would be fetal blow. Come now think... Ah ha! I've an advantage..." Blake smirked.
Clenching his fist tightly and stretching out his hands, he quickly unclenched his fist. Arthur in the dust noticed faint yellow light forming around him, they grew many that it surrounded him. The situation was devastating because Blake had now taken control of the dust around, Arthur slid his sword back on its sheath and raised both hands. The simultaneous attack from Blake and Arthur caused an explosion.
The explosion was so violent it cleared away the dust, getting pulled away by the impact, Blake effortlessly creates a hardened Rock behind him to prevent being dragged away by the wind. Breathing heavily as a sword appeared behind him, Cling!
Blake blocked yet another fetal attack with his bare hands—no, his hands had been reinforced with hardened rocks. Standing still as he let out a smirk, he watched as Arthur smiled while raising his sword. Blake shot his left hand with extreme speed, and Arthur swung his sword in a beautiful arc. An intense battle was unfolding, Blake raised his free hand unleashing a swarm of flying stones, and his occupied hand was forming spikes on his palm.
There was no escaping this scenario, Arthur was cornered both sides, wether he wanted to leap and avoid the approaching spike or Sprint forward to evade the flying stones. Both cases were inevitable, Arthur just let out a faint smile as if not worried about his current situation.
"This kid's accelerating his fighting style, his movements are sharp without leaving any weak points. Doesn't matter where l aim, Blake's entire body was the personification of defence. It's like a game where l increased speed and Blake chose defence... but there's always a single winner."
No matter where Arthur wanted to move, Blake was one step ahead. His power had the ability to counter worse case scenarios, it was just impossible to come close. The ground was his domain, all rock types were at his command.
"But you attack recklessly," Arthur whispered.
Raising his left hand, an explosion of air shot out of his hand scattering the flying stones around. Blake was taken back, he couldn't believe what had happened. Just as he was lost in thoughts, a bright yellow light formed beneath Arthur's feet, it was a circle that expanded reaching Blake's position. The boy didn't notice the circle but felt an overwhelming energy channeling ahead.
"Quick Draw..."
The spike created from his palm that shot straight was destroyed into pieces, he could see Arthur moving at incredible speed, not being able to track his movements directly he leaped back.
"What the hell was that attack?!" Blake gasped, "I'm not done yet—"
He felt a touch behind him, his heart skipped a beat as his body trembled in fear. Seeing a blonde hair fluttering, he realised Arthur had been standing behind him. It was over for Blake, there was nothing he could do at this situation...
I couldn't stop Arthur, he's just too strong and fast! Is it possible to even catch him, have l not become stronger? Did l even improve in the slightest, what am l lacking? His reading my attacks like a book and finding the best counter... No... I won't allow him to think easy of me, l just won't!
Clutching on his necklace tightly, multiple large spikes emerged from the ground.
"Ah, come on, enough with that attack! I'm growing bored, do something different!"
"Bloom..." Blake quickly responded.
The multiple large spikes crumbled, cracking into pieces till it dropped. Shortly after, the rocks rose in the air. There were hundreds if not thousands of rocks floating in the air above Blake that covered the entire area, his cage was busting violently. Arthur could see strings of energy attached to the floating rocks, he was unfazed... maybe amazed would be the appropriate answer.
"This is dangerous, you're using too much energy! You will run dry."
Blake didn't respond, veins popping on his head, and clenching his chest. The floating rocks begun moving downwards, means of simply evading or mere blocking with a sword would be impossible, but the floating rocks had the capability of shredding Arthur to pieces. He had to act quickly. Withdrawing his sword back on its sheath, both his arms felt circulation with violent wind.
Iris felt the intensity of the battle on the other side, even the violent wind made her move backwards. Trees were swaying at Arthur's direction, birds scattered in confusion, as the giant Bell on the Castle made a loud dong! Sound that echoed.
The flying stones reached Arthur midway as a strong wave of wind shot the flying stones. Arthur was channeling a strong wind as his energy built-up, Blake on the other side added a large quantity of energy to increase the stones power. As what felt like no victor, Arthur changed his wind with a different shape that tore through the flying stones.
Blake widened his eyes in shock as the flying stones scattered like breaking glass, still refusing to give up, he channelled another intense energy. Arthur glanced at the surge of energy and used his wind to propel forward by placing both his hands behind his back, reaching up close, wind spiralled around his right hand as he punched Blake to the ground.
"Blah! I-lmpossible... how did l lose!" Blake roared.
Still refusing to fall, he decided to resort to his final move. Using the scattered rocks by merging them together becoming a single huge boulder, crying his lungs out as more rocks merged, without knowing his cage was rapidly reaching its limits. Finally, he created the boulder and shot it towards Arthur.
The boy in blonde watched the approaching attack with a calm and elegant expression, swaying his right hand creating another intense wind attack.
"Ingens Hasta," he muttered.
A high speed thin wind left Arthur's hand with a Whoosh, the attack penetrated through the boulder and completely crushing it.
His face showered with hopelessness and uncertainties, he dropped on his knees breathing heavily. His body trembled from exhaustion and low energy, "guess l still need improvement, who would have thought I'd have a chance of..
Cough. Defeating you...thanks for the match, Master Arthur." Blake concluded as his upper body dropped on the ground.
Arthur had won the battle.
Before Blake touched the ground, Arthur propelled forward using wind and caught Blake. " Nice work, Blake. You're getting stronger than ever, l'm proud of you."
"Blaky! Are you okay?!" Iris yelled as she ran with a worried expression.
Blake had proven himself to be a challenge to even force Arthur to use his gift, from the start, it was one sided. Yet Arthur chose to witness how spectacular Blake could hold, his questions were answered watching how the boy chose not to give up at any chance regardless the disadvantages. Because it was something Arthur never had in the past, compared to Blake, he was the weak one. The boy had a strong will not to give up, strong as bedrock. Sighing silently at the thought, he carried Blake inside the household.
