Su Ming shouted, "Retreat! I'll protect you!"
"But you're already so beaten up... we can't just leave you," Fang Mengqing said, covering her mouth in fear.

But then, in an instant, a mysterious, dreamlike phenomenon swept through the Hundred Flowers Society. Everyone except the superhumans collapsed into unconsciousness, completely unaware of what was happening.
"What's going on?" Zhou Haofei's brow furrowed in alarm as he exclaimed. Xia Jun and his companions looked equally bewildered. The three of them had been plunged into a two-second daze, and they had no idea what had caused it.

A wave of drowsiness and lethargy washed over the three enemies, leaving them vulnerable to Hypnosis. The effect lasted for two seconds.
Two seconds wouldn't be enough for Lan Wanxi to defeat them herself, but now the time was granted to Su Ming—and that was more than enough.
With a cold smirk, Su Ming struck first, targeting Xia Jun. A brutal headbutt sent the man flying backward. Su Ming was still furious from the two energy blasts he'd endured.
He struck again. Kuang Gang, who had been hidden, was now exposed due to the Hypnosis. Su Ming swept two kicks at him, simultaneously stabbing him in the abdomen. Despite being hypnotized, Kuang Gang let out a pained scream in response to the Hundred Flowers Society.
Su Ming used the two seconds perfectly. He moved on to Zhou Haofei, delivering a heavy punch to his head. At that moment, Zhou Haofei regained consciousness, feeling the crushing impact of Su Ming's fist. Agonizing pain surged through his body as he rolled on the ground, screaming in agony...
