Third Person POV
Anna parked outside the Harrington safe house just as the afternoon sun dipped toward the horizon. She stepped out, shut the car door, and walked through the entrance with the confidence of someone who had been there countless times.
The guards recognized her immediately.
None of them tried to stop her.
A servant bowed as she entered.
"Where's Mr. Arashigumi?"
Without a word, the servant gestured toward the rear of the house.
Anna nodded and continued on.
She found Katsuro exactly where she expected him.
He sat cross-legged on the ocean-facing veranda, dressed in a black silk kimono that stirred gently in the sea breeze. An incense burner smoldered beside him, its smoke drifting lazily toward the open sky. His eyes remained closed, his breathing slow and even.
Anna stopped a few feet away.
"You seem relaxed."
Katsuro opened his eyes.
"Miss Wallis."
A faint smile touched his lips.
"I'm surprised to see you back so soon."
Anna folded her arms.
