Chapter 9 - Is This a Domain?

Drinking milk entirely on instinct was strange. Quite a bit of it went down the wrong pipe, but there was no helping it.

"Cough, cough... I almost choked to death..."

As a Potion of Healing smashed onto the ground, Shin was revived to full status.

The Kamaitachi, however, was not in good shape. Although its legs had quickly regenerated, its severed head had not grown back.

Furthermore, after spitting out that mouthful of venom, the entire Cursed Spirit began to wither.

The poisoning and slowness effects on its body made it increasingly weak, it probably wouldn't last much longer.

A trident suddenly appeared in Shin's hand. He aimed at the Kamaitachi's head and threw it with force. The trident tore a large hole directly through its chest.

'Is the trident that powerful? I remember its damage being the same as the Netherite Sword. Did I remember wrong?'

Fearing it wasn't completely dead, Shin threw a series of TNT over. After a deafening explosion, there was no trace of the Kamaitachi left, only a huge crater on the playground.

[Ding...]

As the sound of experience points ringing in his ears faded, Shin finally breathed a sigh of relief. This time, he had leveled up thirty-five times.

However, since the items were all unlocked, leveling up didn't seem to be of much use anymore.

"Wait, what is this?"

He suddenly discovered a new icon at the very bottom left of his creative page, but when his consciousness sank into it, it was just a void.

Before he could study it carefully, Satoru had arrived beside them at some point, holding his phone and snapping photos continuously.

"Oh my. Have your injuries already healed? What a pity, I wanted to let the second-year students properly appreciate how pathetic you looked."

Megumi glanced at Satoru sideways and asked, somewhat speechless, "Gojo-sensei, you didn't arrive a long time ago and were just waiting to watch us make fools of ourselves, did you?"

Satoru's smile stiffened, and he quickly waved his hands to explain, "I just got here. I can only say it's fortunate you were strong enough, otherwise I would have only come to collect your corpses."

However, as he waved his hands, his phone accidentally fell to the ground, revealing the photo of Shin covered in blood when he was first slashed by the Kamaitachi.

Megumi: "..."

Shin asked, "Gojo-sensei, didn't you arrive quite early? But... where did you take such a clear photo?"

Satoru picked up his phone without any embarrassment and nonchalantly forced a change of topic, "This student... you look like you're cut out to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Are you interested in becoming one?"

Yuji looked at the tall, white-haired man who had suddenly appeared with a confused expression.

Just as he was about to say something, Shin interrupted him, "Wait! Gojo-sensei, do you mean that Itadori has the corresponding Cursed Energy to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer?"

Satoru nodded and said, "So his name is Itadori? I definitely saw the Cursed Energy within him, it just looks like he doesn't have an Innate Cursed Technique."

Shin lowered his head to hide his surprise. So Yuji didn't gain Jujutsu talent only after eating Sukuna's finger?

But that makes sense. Yuji's mother had a Cursed Technique, so it's not impossible for Yuji to possess the potential to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

Megumi said to Yuji, "Jujutsu Sorcerer is a very dangerous profession, you could die at any moment. You can think about it carefully, you can also refuse."

Yuji lowered his head. His grandfather's words before he passed away echoed in his ears. At the same time, he thought of his upperclassmen, Iguchi Takeshi and Sasaki Setsuko, who had been traumatized to the point of mental instability by the Cursed Spirit.

'If Fushiguro and Kagura hadn't come today, the three of us would surely have died without anyone knowing why.'

"If... if I become a Jujutsu Sorcerer, and I can save even one person harmed by a Cursed Spirit... I am willing to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Even if I die, I will have died on the right path."

Satoru patted Yuji on the back and said, "Welcome to Jujutsu High. When are you planning to enroll?"

"Can you wait a few days? I need to take care of my grandfather's funeral arrangements."

"Of course. I'll leave you my contact information, just give me a call when you're ready."

The group returned to Jujutsu High.

After washing up, Shin lay on his bed, playing dead. Today had nearly worked him to death, one thing after another...

Now that he was finally free, he could take a look at the void he had just unlocked.

His consciousness sank into the void and flew in one direction. Not long after, it stopped as if it had hit a wall.

'Is there a range limit? I wonder if I can put things in this void.'

As soon as he had this thought, a grass block immediately appeared under his feet. Shin began to lay down more grass blocks in one direction.

'A spherical space with a radius of forty meters? It's just like... a Domain.'

Shin could place any block anywhere in the space, though it would consume his own inventory. However, within this space, he felt truly free to do as he pleased.

He could manipulate the trident to fly freely within the space, control the explosion time of TNT at will, and even precisely locate the usage position of potions.

Although the number of items in his inventory would reduce, his Cursed Energy consumption was extremely low. In other words, he could open this... Domain multiple times for long periods?

...

Early the next morning, he approached Satoru and proposed to speak with him privately.

Satoru took him into a room and set up a Curtain.

"What's up, Shin? You're being all mysterious."

Shin took out a Shulker Box and displayed it. "Gojo-sensei, look at this box. Items stored inside are sent into another dimension, and only I can take them out."

"So, I hope to keep the Sukuna finger that was recovered yesterday. Of course, it would be even better if Gojo-sensei is willing to give me the finger from Jujutsu High as well."

After the introduction, Shin casually picked up a teacup from the table, placed it into the Shulker Box, and then broke the Shulker Box.

Satoru turned his Six Eyes' output to the maximum, but whether at the original location of the box or inside Shin's body, he found no trace of the teacup.

He couldn't help but praise, "Oh. What an impressive box. If that's the case, the Sukuna finger can indeed be entrusted to your care."

"However, you must remember not to let others know about this method of yours, otherwise those Higher-Ups might kill you along with a large batch of indestructible Special Grade Cursed Objects."

Satoru's tone became increasingly serious and grave, but the next moment, his tone returned to its usual lightness.

"Don't worry, even if you accidentally reveal it, I will protect you. Here are two Sukuna fingers, you keep them for now."

After putting away the Sukuna fingers, Shin said, "There's one more thing. I need to trouble Gojo-sensei to practice the technique I just learned with me."
