Chapter 48 - CHAPTER FORTY NINE

"Babe, come on talk to me. What's wrong?" Henry urged her to speak. She kept holding on to him in silence, so, he carried her to the living room, placed her on the comfy couch, only to turn off the screen and carry her again, this time to his room. The maids looked at Ellen with interest as Henry carried her upstairs. "Wow, who is that? It's been a while since he brought a girl who isn't Miss Clara home. I thought he went to his father's penthouse for his escapades." One maid said in interest. "Yes, that's what I'm wondering too. She is beautiful though. To think I just changed his sheets this morning." A second one commented. "Well, whoever she is, she must be special to him, because he doesn't bring his women here. It's a good thing you changed the sheets; good impressions matter. Looks like you will have to change it again though, hahaha." The first maid said and teased. "Don't you two have better things to do than stand here to gossip?" A voice came from behind them. It was the chief maid who took care mainly of Terry's affairs. She was made chief because they had sexual escapades occasionally. "Sorry, we're going now." The maids apologized and left. "I wonder who that girl is though. T would like to know about this too." She murmured to herself as she thought of reporting to Terry, who she called T. "Come on baby girl, talk to me. What's going on?" Henry asked the girl whose head was on his chest as they sat on his bed. "Would you ever leave me for someone sophisticated and more beautiful?" Ellen finally spoke, looking directly into his eyes. Henry was taken aback with her question because he wasn't expecting that. "Aside Naa, can you point out any other girl who's more sophisticated or beautiful than you?" Henry asked with a grin. "I see, so you would leave me for her. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, she is your first love after all." Ellen replied, leaving his embrace. "Eleanora that is not what I mean. You are blowing it out of proportion. I said that because she's the only girl that can match up to you, and yes, she is and will always be my first love, but I chose you, Eleanora. Not her, after she came back and became close friends, I still didn't choose her. I chose you, because I don't care what standards you don't reach, you are the one I love now." Henry explained, pulling her back into his embrace. "You mean that?" Ellen asked for assurance. "Do you see her here or you?" Henry asked in a jovial way, earning a meek punch from her. "I'm being serious, and you are joking." She complained, feigning annoyance. "I'm being serious too babe, you are stuck with me. Where is this insecurity coming from? I thought Naa is your friend and you trust me." Henry assured and asked, giving her a kiss on her forehead. "Can you please call her Steph? The Naa kind of irks me. I should be the only one with a nickname from you." Ellen demanded with a pout. "Yes ma'am, no need to be jealous. You are all mine. I missed you, so glad you are here." Henry agreed, smiling, and drawing her in for a kiss. "I missed you too." She said after the kiss, finally taking in her surroundings. The air-condition made the temperature good enough for this hot weather, the lights were dimly lit with white paint on the walls. A screen covered the middle part of the front wall across his huge bed, with a PlayStation and Wi-Fi device beneath it, home theaters at each side of the wall in front, with a sofa by the floor length window, which opened to a balcony with the pool, as it's view. A shelf with trophies and medals was on the other side of the room, a study table beneath it with an iMac on it. Posters of cars, footballers, jerseys, and pictures of him and his family, were on the rest of the space on the walls. A swivel chair in front of the screen for playing games was at the center of the room. "Wow, your room is great. Haha, look at that picture of you, you were such a cute baby." Ellen complemented. "Hey, do not touch those, and no teasing. Even though I was cute huh." Henry said with pride. "Yeah, you were. Can I take a picture?" Ellen agreed and asked with a smile. "Uh uh. No way." Henry refused. "Pretty please baby." Ellen said in a coquettish voice, batting her eye lids at him. "Alright fine, but you can't post it or show it to anyone." He relented with a smile and a warning. "Great. How many PlayStations do you have?" She took the picture and asked. "Just two. I can't carry it whenever I go downstairs, so I bought this one and kept the one dad bought, in the living room." Henry explained, falling on the bed. "Oh, I see. You have a beautiful home. I didn't see any of your family members when I came, but your mom and sister are gorgeous. You look like your dad though." Ellen pointed out, complementing his family. "Yes, they are, and I do. Mom and Audrey are in London, as I've told you before, dad is on a business trip, and grandma left some time before you got here." He explained, Ellen lying beside him. They laid facing each other with a smile. Ellen kept on blushing as he winked at her and drew her close, she turned around out of shyness but that gave Henry the chance to spoon her, making her blush more. They were enjoying each other's company when they heard a growl from her stomach. "Oh my God." Ellen muttered, feeling embarrassed. "Haha don't worry about it. It won't be a meeting between us if your stomach doesn't demand to be filled, ha-ha." Henry teased, getting up and helping her up by holding her hand. "I'm sorry." She apologized. "Hey, no need for that. If you don't get hungry, how will I feed you, my glutton?" Henry said and broke into laughter when Ellen pouted. They left his room for the kitchen, hand in hand while he teased her. "I'm not a glutton; I just happen to be hungry around you." Ellen defended when Henry wouldn't stop calling her glutton, as they entered the restaurant- like kitchen. "Oh, Kobby, do you need something? Lunch will be served soon." The chief maid addressed him, ignoring Ellen. "I know neither you nor anyone here is blind, so why are you all ignoring her?" He demanded, startling the maids. "Um, sorry, good day miss. I'm Erica, the chief of staff here." Erica introduced. "Eleanora. Nice to meet you." Ellen introduced herself too. "She's my leading lady. Please treat her with respect." Henry declared. "Yes sir." They sang in chorus. Ellen was feeling uncomfortable from all the stares she was getting from them as Henry removed some things from the fridge. He was looking for something when he got a call. "I'll go take this, give me a minute okay." He excused himself, leaving her with a peck. Ellen grew red as the maids giggled, Henry ignoring them like they were not there. "Ahem. Um, why is everyone staring at me please?" Ellen asked shyly after clearing her throat. "Who, us? Oh no miss, we aren't staring." One maid answered nervously. "Please tell me, you are making me uncomfortable." Ellen probed. "Oh my, please don't be. We wouldn't want to piss off Henry. It's just that you are the first girl aside Clara to come to this house." The first maid explained, scared of triggering Henry's wrath. "Yes, and he even introduced you as his girlfriend. We know he has numerous of them, but you are the only one he has brought home, since he broke up with Stephanie Clarke." Another maid blabbered. "I see." Ellen said. "Oh no, not that he is dating someone else aside you, but…" The second maid trembled in explanation after realizing what she said, when Henry came back into the kitchen. "Sorry about that, it was Clara." Henry explained to Ellen, who smiled at him. She loved the fact that she was the only girl Henry had brought home as his girlfriend. This made her resent Stephanie for trying to come between them, he genuinely loved her, and nothing or no one would change that. "It's no problem at all. What are you looking for in the fridge anyway?" Ellen said and asked. "I'm looking for some ingredients, I am going to make for you, my world-famous apple pie." Henry replied with a proud smile. "You can cook?" Ellen asked in astonishment. "Why, you thought I was just some spoilt brat?" Henry asked with a smirk. "Absolutely." Ellen replied and Henry laughed. The maids understood why Henry brought this girl home, they had not heard him laugh like this, not even with his family and friends. "Well, you are in for a sweet surprise my darling. Apple pie is my favorite, it has been ever since my mom made it for me back in London, during a vacation when I was a child. "I see. I can't wait. Can I help?" Ellen said and asked. "You thought I was going to prepare it alone? Come over here, let's give them something to gossip about." Henry said, standing behind Ellen, when she came to him by the counter with a smile. Her face red as Erica smiled at them. "Erica, get us some aprons." Henry instructed rudely. Erica, being used to his attitude towards her, went to get them aprons. "Why did you talk to her like that?" Ellen asked, turning to face him with a frown. "I'll explain later." That was all Henry said, shutting the rest of her words with a kiss. Ellen turned back again with a red face, nudging his side with her right elbow. Henry chuckled as he took the aprons from Erica. He carefully, yet skillfully placed one on Ellen and wore the other one. "Okay, let's get baking. It will be our dessert after the meal they are preparing." Henry said excitedly as he led Ellen on what to do.
