Chapter 4 - CHAPTER FIVE

"Ouch. Clara, that really hurts. Let go of my ear, damn it!" The two boys had been searching for her for some time now. It was the assistant GP who told them she was in the lecture theater (NSMQ room). "Clara Afua Lawson, haven't you heard of my return? You could at least look for me." "Awwn, if it isn't the head of the school, Henry Kwabena Yawson. The hyped teen with absurd initials." Clara said and pulled him in for a hug. That was a mistake because immediately he hugged her, she held onto his right ear tightly, not letting it go. "What, you want me to let go? This is your punishment for not coming to school on time. Do you think you're the only brilliant one here? Even though we came for the first term. And BTW, you have a match now among our juniors, Mr. Smarty pants." Clara said, before letting go of his ear. "Hahaha, I've heard about her. I'm yet to meet her, though. They say I'll like what I see," Henry said and laughed. "Henry, don't even think about adding her to your conquests. The same goes for you, too, Eric. None of you should touch her." Clara warned. "Wow, do you like her? Clara, you give us a go-ahead for the ladies and support us. But hey, don't worry, we won't touch her." Henry winked his answer, and Clara smiled when they both raised their hands as promised. "I believe Eric because he has seen her and still promised, but you, you are yet to see her, and I know you, Henry." She said with raised brows. "Yes, you do, but I don't break my promises to you, sweetheart," Henry said and winked.

"HENRYYY!!! You've got a lot to explain, young man." Amanda met Henry at the dining hall with Lilian and Esther. 'Ugh, here comes another drama queen. ' Henry thought and smiled her way. '' Hey, beautiful, what's up? Why are you screaming my name? I'm pretty sure the Administration board heard you." He asked as everyone's attention drew to them. Amanda gave the two girls she called besties a glare before turning to Henry with a question, ''Are you dating my best friends while being with me?' Esther and Lilian stared at him, anxiously waiting for an answer. To their annoyance, he just took a chair and sat lazily staring at them. ''Well, I must say it took you a while to find out. I thought you girls are smarter than that. Anyway, I was getting bored and tired of these two, so how about we hit the cafeteria, Amanda?" Henry replied and caught Esther's hand in time while Amanda held Lilian's. '' I'm letting you go easily, don't make me change my mind," Henry said, shooting daggers with his eyes. ''Let's go, babe. I don't want to ruin your welcoming celebration. Hey everybody, order whatever you want from the cafeteria tonight. It's my treat for my sweetheart's return!" Amanda announced, to the cheer of the form threes. ''Amanda, are you going with him after hearing what he said?" Esther asked in bewilderment. ''Of course. I'm going with him because of what he said. Didn't you hear him? He chose me because I'm the fun one. Ciao." She replied and left with Henry, arm in arm. The girls just stared at them, crying silently for being stupid, as their three-year friendship abruptly came to an end because of a guy. Lilian was fine, but Esther could not be consoled. She was absolutely heartbroken as she thought of her memories with Henry. It felt as if her whole world was crumbling before her. Staring at her from a distance were Abigail and Kelly, who happened to pass by the dining hall. They were shocked to hear the bossy house prefect had just been heartbroken by the guy she forbade them to mention his name. They hurried off to prepare for their dining period before the seniors spotted them. ''Sooner or later, someone is going to break that jerk's heart as well, and he will have a taste of his bitter pill," Esther said in pain, amidst tears.

''Elle, will you put aside that book and come with us already? Geeez, we are missing out on a lot already." Abby and Kelly were at their wits' end trying to get Ellen to the stadium for the inter-house sports competition. It's been two weeks since the incident at the dining hall, and while some ladies are being wary of Henry, others are still doing their best to get close to him. Ellen, as usual, was avoiding anything she felt was wasting her time to learn. She went for preps while everyone went for entertainment and other social gatherings. She only went for church related activities and never missed dining. '' Elle, we have given you free will for a long time. Life is not all about books, you know. Sometimes you need to have fun and explore other opportunities life brings you. All social gatherings are compulsory, you know. Come on, I'm sure it will be fun, and we can look at the guys and find handsome ones…hahaha. Who knows, you might get a crush or a friend among the guys, who I'm sure are dying to be your friend/boyfriendddd." Abdy said, and they laughed at her last remark. ''Are you girls aware that there is an event going on at the school's stadium and you must attend?" Esther's voice interrupted their laughter, and they all stood. "Yes, sister, we were just leaving," Ellen replied and led her friends out of the dorm. Esther locked the door and asked them to take the lead. "Whew, seriously, Elle, your house prefect is scary. If only you had just listened and come with us. Thank God, she didn't punish us, right guys?" Kelly said, and they nodded. "Ouch!" "Elle!" "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you coming." Because of their conversation, no one noticed the boys approaching till one of them bumped into Ellen. She was going to fight back after seeing the extended hand, when she stopped in her tracks. Raising her head, she looked like she had seen a ghost, or better yet, an angel. The guy she just bumped into was angelically beautiful, and the guy had the same thought about her. Even her friends were awestruck by his features. Though they've seen his picture and him physically from afar, meeting him face to face was a whole lot to take in. He was tall with chocolate skin, muscled but not bulky, with a broad chest and shoulders, sexy dark eyes, curly dark hair, a cute, pointed nose, and kissable, thin lips. He had an irresistible aura that captivated you and left you spellbound. Looking at him now, the girls understood why ladies still rushed him. Ellen just stared at him as time had frozen, and only came back to reality when she heard his magical, deep, but tender voice. "Hi, I'm Henry, and you are? ..." "Um, eh Ellen. I'm Eleanora, but everyone calls me Ellen." She stammered for the first time in her life, and her friends were shocked. "Oh, I see. I'm guessing you are the famous freshman who has got everyone spellbound, huh?" He said with a smirk, and Ellen blushed. "I'm also guessing you are the infamous sports prefect that everyone keeps talking about." She rebutted, and Henry smirked again. "Infamous is too much of a word, but I'll take it since you only know me through hearsay. I'd like to know more about you, Eleanora. Are these your friends?" Henry replied and asked. Ellen was about to answer when they heard the athletes being called. Henry and the boys excused themselves, with the girls following suit.
