ELARA'S POV.
Research says some hallucinations can feel so real until it takes a toll on your body physically. Some illusions are too good to snap out of, and some nightmares keep you trapped in your sleep unable to wake up from the fright, the pain, misery and tears.
What I went through was neither a dream or an illusion or a thought in my head. It felt real, it was real. I knew what I felt, I knew how it felt like lying helpless with my gut heating up like an oven. But as soon as I got to the hospital, a place where I could get the answers, my body was back to normal.
I felt light, good if I am honest, like the weird stiffness disappeared, making the doctor think I was crazy.
Reality hit me when I was discharged and I walked out of the hospital. I touched the sliding door to confirm I hadn't passed out in the paramedic van, and all this was a fabrication of my mind.
