There was nothing difficult to understand. Or overreact. I had an assignment for her and she was going to carry it out.
"You look like a wet cat," I huffed. "Sit down, you don't have to act surprise. Don't worry, you aren't doing any of this for free. I'm gonna pay you handsomely."
"I don't need your money," she bit back. "I have a comfortable life, Kev… Alpha."
"I can make it better," my voice deepened.
"NO," Ravenna boldly replied, her eyes shone wide. She looked certain about her decision but nothing a price wasn't going to change.
"Name your price, Ravenna. I'll give you anything." I slowly stood up, taking a handkerchief and wiping my hands. "Do you want to live in the pack house? Do you want me? Heck, I can make you my wife if you please. You are extremely gorgeous anyway,"
"I have given you my response, Alpha. I am not telling a lie to the elders. Even if Alpha Kael did tell the humans, he would never work with them to attack…"
