Raya's POV.
"How can you say that?" He bit his lips and hissed. "I am the leading team in genetic engineering and…"
"Yet I haven't found a need for your expertise." I interrupted. "If I don't find you important then you simply aren't. You are not needed. Unless you find a way to be useful then you'll be important," a wicked smile parted my lips as his shoulder fell like a broken pillar.
I should have done something worse than crushing his ego for getting me worked up for a second there, but his bruised ego was more than enough to send him into a pit of damnation.
He walked away with a defeated look and I couldn't care less. I had only a few hours to rest and head back to work.
I walked straight to the elevator and I didn't stop until I got home, doused myself in my bathtub and slumped right on top of my bed as soon as I put on my nightwear.
