ELARA'S POV.
'They are hurting him again,' I say to myself, feeling my muscles contracting, my hair jolting up as I groan in pain.
How is it possible? I ask myself. My shoes were stuffed with enough insulators but I can feel the crackling sound zapping through my skin. Mild but enough to make me let out a scream.
As for the guards, they drop to the ground trying their best not to let out a sound, but Kael growls aloud, his veins bulging on his skin, his knees giving out and his voice stretching through the room like a broken siren.
I can no longer take the pain anymore. It feels like my life is draining away piece by piece as long as I stand there. I quickly crawl out of the room as soon as my vision becomes blurry, and my breath wheezes out in forced gasps.
