Kael's POV
The masked guard approached me first, his boots thudding against the concrete. He reached into his tactical vest and pulled out a thick silver syringe, and it sent a shockwave through me, but I didn't show any of it.
"Step back from me, human," I barked, my voice echoing off the concrete walls like a thunderclap. The silver metal gleamed dangerously under the lights as he tapped the syringe. "You think those little plastic toys can hold a king? Go ahead, try to stick that needle in my flesh. I dare you. I will snap your wrists before the fluid even touches my veins." He didn't answer, but his hand shook slightly. "Yeah, look at me through that pathetic visor. You are terrifyingly out of your depth here. If you value your pathetic life, you will turn around and walk out."
