Elera's POV
I sat at the desk in my private office, my eyes burning from staring down the lens of the microscope. The glowing digital screen beside me was filled with complex data strings from the fresh blood sample I had taken from Kael. After an hour of analyzing the rapid cellular regeneration in his veins, I decided to take a short break. I rubbed my tired eyes, sighed, and pulled up the live security feed of Kael's containment cell on my main monitor.
A small wave of relief washed over me as I watched the screen. The plate was completely empty, and the bottle I had secretly left behind was lying on its side, drained of its medicinal liquid. He had actually listened to me. He had taken the food and the medicine.
