I walked back into the Axiom Biotech facility the next morning with a completely renewed sense of purpose. My boots clicked against the floor of the lobby, and for the first time in weeks, I didn't feel entirely consumed by dread. Instead, I felt a dangerous spark of confidence.
I was going to use Enoch's incredible strength and outside help to break Kael and Ravenna out of this corporate prison.
At the very same time, I would gather all the ground-breaking data and biological discoveries I needed to finish my research project. I thought I could satisfy my career goals, secure my professional contract, and save the lives of the two wild creatures. I really thought I could save everyone and still win.
To pull off a plan this big, I had to change my daily routine. I arrived at the facility super early in the morning, long before the sun had fully risen and way before the rest of the laboratory staff turned up for their shifts.
