After they summarized Joel Bloom's condition, they relayed it to Flora Bloom, Caleb Bloom, and Jade. Flora and Caleb remained relatively calm, but Jade gripped her son's hand, silently enduring her worry and heartache.
"The hospital we were just at should have all the surgical equipment we need. Mr. Wallace, Cynthia, you're coming with me. We'll see what we need, move it all back, and operate on my brother right here!"
Neal Wallace and Cynthia Grant nodded. They then watched Flora Bloom walk over to the OB/GYN who was resting on the floor. "Ms. Preston," she said, "I need to ask for a favor. You're a Red Cross doctor, so you know the layout there. I'd like you to lead the way."
