Seeing the man's expression, Stella Sterling found it amusing and couldn't help but laugh out loud.
The spot the man had retreated to wasn't far from the bushes where Andrew Shaw was hiding.
A harsh glint appeared in Andrew Shaw's eyes. He lifted his knife, ready to plunge it into the man's stomach.
Given his height and strength, a slashing motion wasn't practical.
A thrust was his best option.
Just then, alerted by the noise, the man's companions rushed out.
"What's going on? What happened?"
One of them spotted Andrew Shaw's ambush, and his expression changed instantly. "Watch out!"
The man who yelled the warning simultaneously scooped up a rock and hurled it at Andrew Shaw's blade.
The rock struck the blade, sending the knife clattering to the ground.
The man who was attacked finally reacted, stumbling back a few steps. "Fuck! There's an ambusher here! I got careless."
"Thanks, Lawrence!"
"We're brothers. Don't mention it."
