Whatever others thought, Faye Yardley was captivated at first sight. The painting had such a wonderful artistic quality, she felt, that it would instantly elevate any living room.
It would add a touch of class to the entire living room just by being there.
"This painting is gorgeous, Sis."
"Right? I think so too. I'll ask them if they accept commissions."
With that, Faye Yardley sent the artist a message, asking if they had any other paintings for sale and if they also accepted commissions.
The reply came quickly. He said it was possible, but the paints were hard to come by, so it might take some time. Then, he asked if his family could move to her island. He was direct, admitting he didn't have many other skills, but his family members were all hardworking and kind. He added that his wife, despite her age, had a green thumb and was excellent at growing flowers.
