Special fishing rods normally didn't catch living things. Faye Yardley had accepted this as a rule, but what was happening now?
Faye Yardley stared at the humanoid ice sculpture lying in the thatched hut. 'Is he dead, or just frozen solid?'
'If he's dead, what am I supposed to do with a corpse? Store it in my warehouse?'
"Willow, take a look. Does he have any vital signs? Or is he just a statue?"
Willow Yardley scanned him and said, "All his internal organs are intact, but there's no heartbeat, his blood isn't circulating, and he shows no signs of consciousness."
"So he's just a person who's been frozen solid. What should we do now? Throw him back into the sea?" Faye Yardley had truly never imagined she'd one day fish up a person.
'I mean, I was once caught and pulled up by Leo Sloan's fishing line, but that was different... right?'
Of course, she wasn't entirely sure herself. The whole situation just had her a bit flustered.
