Now that they'd actually met and were together, Faye Yardley decided it was much better to just miss him from afar.
After everyone was introduced, Faye Yardley had Willow Yardley lay out eight grand dishes worthy of an imperial banquet. Combined with the home-style cooking Willow had prepared earlier, the table was overflowing with a ridiculously lavish spread.
"Faye, you're eating way too well. Compared to you, I've been living worse than a stray dog." Ethan Yardley casually cracked open a beer for himself, not holding back on his praise.
"Heh. And who's the stray dog?"
"Me. Definitely me."
"Hmph."
He had to pretend he didn't see the other two, who were looking down and trying to hide their laughter.
