The safe zone's leader looked at the shattered gate and the surrounding wreckage, his brow furrowed. He did his best to keep his voice steady. "You've all come a long way. May I ask why you've caused such a commotion?"
The scar-faced man's gaze swept over him and the superpower users behind him, filled with undisguised scrutiny and contempt.
Without a word of pleasantry, he cut straight to the chase. "Does your safe zone have any researchers? Specifically, anyone who's worked in biology, virology, or energy studies?"
