The group of vicious-looking men hesitated.
The man Josie Quinn had pinned down saw their hesitation. Suppressing his rage, he shouted, "Boss! Second-in-command! Are you really going to abandon me for some woman?"
The man who spoke had already been stabbed. If he were crippled, he'd be worthless to them.
But they couldn't say that out loud in front of their men. Otherwise, who would be willing to die for them in the future?
"We'll do the trade! You're our sworn brother. It's just a woman. We'll go get her right now for the exchange."
Hearing their leader say this, the fierce, wolf-like boy beside them seemed to relax slightly. "Then hurry up and go!"
