As he spoke, Felix Foley looked at Sierra Sullivan and Jayce. "That goes for you two! Can you honestly swear you haven't killed anyone since the apocalypse began? That you've never killed an innocent person?"
"Why not?" Sierra Sullivan retorted, raising an eyebrow. "I have killed people, but every last one of them deserved to die. I've never killed a single truly innocent person."
Jayce nodded. "Same here."
Dominic Crawford and the others all nodded in agreement.
The expressions on their faces were completely open, with no trace of guilt or panic.
Seeing the looks on their faces, Felix Foley knew they were telling the truth.
But the more he realized they were telling the truth, the harder it was for him to accept.
'We're all suffering through this damn apocalypse, so why is their luck so good?' he thought. 'How can they get this strong and live so comfortably without having to do anything against their conscience?'
