Candice Tate had eaten too much and couldn't take another bite. All she could do was watch Sierra Sullivan eat with longing eyes.
"Is it good, Sierra?"
Sierra Sullivan nodded. "Of course, it's delicious!"
Candice Tate didn't say anything, but she gulped.
Her pitiful, longing expression made Sierra Sullivan's heart melt. "It's okay. There's plenty left. You can eat more tomorrow!"
Candice Tate nodded. "Okay!"
As Candice Tate spoke, she could barely keep her eyes open.
It was clearly exhaustion from overusing her Superpower. Only a good night's sleep would allow her to recover.
"Candice, let me take you to get washed up. After that, you should get some rest. We can talk about everything else tomorrow."
Candice Tate rubbed her eyes, obediently got to her feet, and followed Sierra Sullivan to the bathroom.
They were both extremely careful, afraid of accidentally stepping on the fruits and vegetables scattered on the floor.
