During the meal, Sierra Sullivan noticed another issue.
Jayce's appetite had grown.
Based on their usual appetites, the three of them should never have been able to finish all the food on the table.
But as they ate, Sierra Sullivan realized that before she was even full, the plates and bowls on the table were nearly empty.
This came as quite a shock to her.
She instinctively looked over at Jayce and saw him shoveling rice from his bowl, eating with intense focus and incredible speed.
Only after he had shoveled the very last mouthful of rice into his mouth did Jayce finally seem to snap out of it and look up at Sierra Sullivan.
Their eyes met, and it was as if Jayce's senses finally returned to him in that moment.
"Sierra… what's wrong?"
Looking at the slightly dazed and adorable Jayce, Sierra Sullivan felt a laugh coming on, but she managed to suppress it. Instead, she asked curiously, "Are you still hungry?"
"Yeah!"
Jayce said, rubbing his stomach.
