"Yes," I breathed. "Very much."
"It's getting late," he whispered, though he didn't move. "You should go back to your chambers and rest. Dawn comes quickly."
I looked down, feeling a flash of anger. He was just like his brother. They tasted me, and then they discarded me whenever it suited them.
He must have seen the look on my face. "Or... you could stay the night?"
I looked up, and I was sure my eyes were twinkling. "I'd like that."
We sat in silence for a moment, the atmosphere thick.
I wondered when I had become such a slut for the monsters who held me, but another voice in my head told me I was never going back to the human world. Lucian had already discarded me; why not stay with the one who made me feel safe?
"Is there anything you want to do?" Killian asked, shifting on the couch. He looked like he didn't know where to put his hands.
"Can we play Truth or Dare?" I asked.
