I am being engulfed in a swarm of warm bodies.
People kept moving around me without stopping, shoulders brushing harshly against mine as if I wasn't even there.
The air felt warmer suddenly. Harder to breathe.
I kept searching through unfamiliar faces anyway.
I can't lose her.
Relief should have been the first thing I felt after finding her again.
But it wasn't.
I can still see her moving.
I will have to catch up to her.
The crowd shifted once more, forcing me sideways before I managed to steady myself. A child nearly ran into me, laughing loudly before disappearing into the sea of people again.

The lights overhead flickered endlessly against the darkening sky, staining the pavement in restless colours. Somewhere nearby, metal screeched sharply as another ride came to a stop.
