WEST TRINITY ACADEMY
An elite preparatory school with three distinct branches: normal education, research, and espionage. On the surface, it functions like a typical academy. But secretly, it trains students for proxy and shadow wars, producing "Covert's", operatives who fall into different categories yet serve one purpose: to serve their nation in the wars that happen in the background.
WHY IT EXISTS
Many academies in the world are secretly covert institutions, but most remain unknown due to the vast distances and isolation of their nations. West Trinity Academy, however, is the main academy and the leading producer of Covert operatives for the country of Valdoria.
THREE-MEASURE SYSTEM
West Trinity Academy operates on the Three-Measure System: Academics, Combat, and Espionage. Every student, regardless of branch, is evaluated across all three, because each discipline is interconnected, failure in one can drag down your overall rank.
Academics: Covers magical theory, strategy, and practical knowledge.
Combat: Weapons mastery, martial skills, and magical combat.
Espionage: Stealth, infiltration, intelligence gathering, and tactical execution.
No student can ignore any of the three. Even the "normal" subjects are designed to strengthen their espionage capability. A student may excel academically and in combat, but if their espionage skills falter, their rank will never reach the top.

THE THREE BRANCHES
West Trinity Academy is divided into three distinct branches, each catering to the interests and ambitions of its students while maintaining the academy's core mission: producing elite Covert operatives capable of waging war in the background.
Every student, regardless of branch, is trained in the Three-Measure System, Academics, Combat, and Espionage, with the latter being the decisive factor in rank progression.
The branches allow students to pursue their strengths and interests, but no student is ever free from the demands of espionage, because in a world where conflicts are waged quietly and ruthlessly, ignorance can be fatal.
General Branch
- It serves as the entry point for most students and is designed for those who seek a traditional academic experience.
Here, students focus on core subjects, magical theory, and basic combat training, all while being introduced to espionage skills in a measured and foundational way.
The branch emphasizes balance and preparation: students are taught to think critically, react swiftly in dangerous situations, and maintain situational awareness, even in seemingly mundane academic settings.
While many students in this branch are generalists aiming for a stable path, those who excel in espionage may rise quickly through the ranks, proving that talent often outweighs initial placement.
Research Branch
- It caters to students with a natural affinity for innovation, investigation, and tactical development. In addition to the standard curriculum, students in this branch engage in advanced magical experiments, technological development, and applied research designed to support field operations.
Research students learn not only to invent and analyze, but also to integrate their creations into real-world espionage scenarios, developing tools and strategies that can give operatives an edge in the shadows.
While these students may spend less time in fieldwork than their peers in the Espionage Branch, their contributions are invaluable: gadgets, alchemical solutions, magical enhancements, and tactical plans all stem from this branch, proving that brains can be just as lethal as brawn.
Espionage Branch
- The Espionage Branch is the academy's most demanding track, attracting students who are ambitious, highly skilled, or destined for top-tier status as S+ Operants.
This branch focuses on advanced stealth techniques, intelligence gathering, infiltration, tactical combat, and mission simulations that replicate real-world shadow wars.
Students here live and breathe the philosophy of covert operations, balancing rigorous physical training with psychological conditioning, manipulation exercises, and strategic decision-making.
Full-time students in this branch are given access to classified missions, restricted areas, and secret faculty mentorship, allowing them to cultivate the skills that will one day mark them as elite Covert operatives.
Despite its intensity, the branch also promotes mentorship: juniors are paired with senior students, fostering collaboration, rivalry, and practical learning that cannot be replicated in classrooms alone.

RANKING AND LICENSING SYSTEM
- At West Trinity Academy, student progression and evaluation are governed by a structured Ranking and License System, designed to measure and develop the talents of each student across the Three-Measure System: Academics, Combat, and Espionage.
While all three are important, Espionage holds the highest weight, reflecting the academy's primary mission.
Ranks
Students begin their academy career at D-Rank, the entry level for all incoming students. Ranks progress in the following order:
D-Rank: Novice Operants. Students are introduced to the core curriculum, basic combat, and foundational espionage exercises. They are paired with a senior mentor from higher ranks to guide them through their first missions and simulations.
C-Rank: Adept Operants. Students have demonstrated proficiency in one or more measures but still require supervision in field exercises. They begin participating in more complex missions and simulations, often alongside peers and mentors, and are evaluated on teamwork, tactical execution, and espionage adaptability.
B-Rank: Advanced Operants. At this stage, students have proven skill in multiple measures and may begin leading small teams. Their missions increasingly mirror real-world operations, though often in controlled or simulated environments. B-Rank students are expected to develop initiative and strategy, not just execute orders.
A-Rank: Elite Operants. Students at this rank are capable of independently completing high-stakes missions, demonstrating mastery across Academics, Combat, and Espionage. They may be assigned field operatives under their leadership and often serve as mentors for lower-ranked students.
S-Rank: Master Operants. Reserved for the top percentile of students, S-Rank operants have exceptional espionage skill, combined with strong combat and academic capabilities. They are trusted with classified operations, experimental assignments, and sensitive intelligence missions. S-Rank students are recognized as emerging legends within the academy and often receive early faculty mentorship.\
S+-Rank: Legendary Operants. The rarest rank, reserved for students who excel in espionage to a near-perfect degree while maintaining above-average proficiency in combat and academics. S+ Operants are considered the true elite of West Trinity Academy, capable of operating anywhere in the world with lethal efficiency. They are often assigned top-secret missions, influence academy policy, and act as intermediaries between the school and national intelligence operations.

Licenses
Each rank requires a license examination, which evaluates students across all three measures. Licenses are necessary for:
Rank promotion
Access to restricted areas and classified materials
Permission to participate in high-stakes missions
Licenses can be obtained multiple times, as failing a test may result in a demotion or require retesting. They combine written theory, practical combat, and espionage simulations, ensuring students are well-rounded and capable operatives.

Mentorship and Pairing System
To facilitate learning and progression, West Trinity implements a junior-senior system:
Juniors (D or C-Rank) are paired with senior students (B or A-Rank) during field exercises, simulations, and training missions.
This pairing allows juniors to gain practical experience under guidance, while seniors develop leadership and teaching skills.
Pairing also encourages healthy rivalry, collaboration, and the sharing of tactical knowledge, preparing students for the complex realities of covert operations.

Evaluation and Weighting
Espionage: 50% of overall rank weight — skills in stealth, intelligence gathering, and field tactics dominate advancement.
Combat: 30% — proficiency with weapons, magic, and hand-to-hand combat supports field success.
Academics: 20% — mastery of magical theory, strategy, and research provides a foundation for high-level planning and innovation.
