The next day, before the sun was fully up, Zachary Fairchild drove Olivia Wynne to the train station. On the way, Olivia stared straight ahead, too embarrassed to talk to Zachary.
What Zachary said last night kept replaying in her mind. Waking up so early, she had no idea how to face him, so staying quiet seemed like the best option.
The car stopped at the station entrance. Olivia placed her right hand on the door handle, and just as she was about to open it, Zachary called out to her.
"Olivia."
Since Zachary had spoken, Olivia couldn't remain silent any longer. She turned her head to look at him.
"Hm?"
"Give me a call when you get there."
His deep voice was laced with concern, and a warmth spread through Olivia's heart. She nodded. "Okay."
"The weather there is unpredictable, and the temperature fluctuates a lot between day and night," Zachary continued in his deep voice. "Make sure you stay warm."
