Outside the County Clerk, Olivia Wynne stood to Zachary Fairchild's left, feeling the urge to retreat for the first time in her life. She leaned back slightly, her feet shuffling a few steps backward.
"Minister Fairchild... maybe we should just forget about this?"
'I don't want to get married, especially not to a smiling tiger like Zachary Fairchild.'
Zachary Fairchild's expression was placid as he gave Olivia Wynne a cool glance.
"Are you trying to be a heartbreaker, Olivia?"
Olivia was speechless.
Looking at Zachary Fairchild cautiously, Olivia Wynne said in a low voice, "Um, it's not like you lost out on anything, right?"
'If anyone was at a disadvantage, it was her. What was a grown man like him doing playing the victim?'
Olivia Wynne lowered her gaze slightly, hiding the displeasure in her heart.
"It's true, I didn't lose out. But..."
Zachary Fairchild lowered his head slightly and leaned in close to Olivia Wynne, his lips hovering near her ear.
