Phoebe Faulkner leaned against the door, secretly rubbing her sore wrists where they had been tied. She stared warily at the man standing by the window.
The man turned around.
Only then did Phoebe Faulkner see the long scar on the man's left cheek. He was a very masculine man, and the scar made him look even colder and more domineering. The look he gave her, however, was far from friendly.
"Jace Lennox spent one billion to buy you at the auction. I'll give you another billion to leave him."

The moment the man spoke, Phoebe Faulkner recognized his very distinctive voice. This was the psycho who kept calling her, telling her to leave Jace Lennox.
"And if I refuse?" Phoebe Faulkner asked, staring at the man before her without a hint of servility or arrogance.
"I'll kill your second brother first, then you." The man wasn't joking in the slightest.
