Upon hearing this, Phoebe Faulkner raised her head and looked at Jace Lennox.
Tears still brimmed in her eyes, blurring her vision.
Jace Lennox wiped the tears from her face. "Don't cry. At least your brother is awake."
"Thank you." 'I'm sorry for misunderstanding you, too.'
Phoebe Faulkner didn't know how she could ever repay Jace Lennox. Perhaps all she could do was be obedient, and give him everything he wanted that she had to offer.
"We've been flying for over ten hours. Let's go get something to eat, shall we?" Jace had already arranged everything.
He led Phoebe downstairs to the hospital restaurant, where he had the prepared dishes brought to their table.
Phoebe didn't have much of an appetite, but she still took a few bites.
