The weekend shift only lasted until four in the afternoon, at which point another colleague came to take over.
Phoebe Faulkner checked the time. Based on Jace Lennox's usual time for coming home, she still had an hour of free time. 'Should I go to the department store first and see if there's anything I can buy for Robin Morgan?'
After all, her internship at the design company started tomorrow. Once she got busy, she might not have time later.
Just as Phoebe Faulkner was pondering this, Echo Lynch pulled up in front of her again in her car.
"Need a ride?"
Phoebe Faulkner looked at Echo Lynch and didn't refuse this time. Even with a regular colleague, it was bad form to turn down their kindness over and over again. She nodded, thanked her, and got in the car.
"Where to?" Echo Lynch asked.
"Skywood Department Store, please."
"You're going shopping?"
Hearing this, Echo Lynch turned to look at Phoebe Faulkner.
