Phoebe Faulkner looked at Jace Lennox's condescending expression. She was homeless now, with reporters outside waiting to pounce. Staying here was indeed her best option, but she really couldn't stand his arrogant demeanor.
Phoebe was silent for a long time before finally making the most pragmatic choice.
"Fine. But I don't come cheap. You have to pay me at least fifty thousand a month!"
Jace glanced at Phoebe. "Go upstairs and run my bath. When you're done, go to the kitchen and make dinner."
Phoebe took a deep breath. 'How did things turn out like this?' She hadn't even had time to process her feelings or wallow in her sorrow before the anger Jace stirred in her completely took over.
"Fine, I'm going!" Phoebe shot back, dashing up the stairs.
