Julian Winslow's eyes darkened. Glancing out of the corner of his eye at Shalma Hughes, who had already stepped aside, he reached out and pulled the beautiful woman next to him directly into his arms, pressing their bodies intimately close.
Shalma stood close enough to clearly hear the beauty's gasp at his sudden movement.
Thea Grant stood off to the side, looking a bit dumbfounded. She shuffled over to Shalma and whispered, "Ms. Hughes, how could you be so generous? This is rumba music. How could you let Mr. Winslow dance the rumba with another woman? It's too easy for sparks to fly."
The rumba was a romantic, captivating, and intimate dance. Watching them, it looked less like dancing and more like a game of hot and cold seduction. Truth be told, Shalma had just made an offhanded comment earlier; she hadn't expected him to actually accept the offer.
