Ronan Fordham had noticed it as well. He stepped up beside Julian Winslow and reminded him in a low voice, "Mrs. Winslow is here, too."
Julian, however, didn't go over to greet her. Instead, he followed the proprietor directly toward their private room.
At that moment, Shalma Hughes seemed to space out a little.
"Shalma, what's wrong? Why did you suddenly go pale? Are you feeling unwell?" It was Felix Grant's voice that pulled Shalma back from her thoughts.
"Oh, it's nothing..." she quickly replied.
"What were you going to say earlier?"
Shalma looked up at him, her gaze turning indifferent. "If I told you that I was already married, would you believe me?"
It felt as though they were the only two people left in the entire dining hall.
Felix burst into laughter. "How is that possible? You don't even have a boyfriend. How could you just get married out of the blue?"
