Willow Finch knew Amelia would say as much and just sighed softly. "This baby really is coming at a bad time, being jostled around on the road with you. But in the end, we have Ethan Quinn to blame for all this. He's the one who started it, and now he's just washing his hands of the whole affair."
Amelia Finch smiled and was about to speak when Ross, who had been lying on Ethan Quinn, suddenly shot to his feet. The little creature's eyes were fixed intently on the man before him.
"Huh? Why did the little guy suddenly stand up?" Willow Finch asked, surprised. The words had barely left her lips when she noticed that Ethan Quinn seemed to be waking up.
Amelia Finch saw it too. The two women and one creature watched anxiously until Ethan Quinn slowly opened his eyes. While Ross bounced happily on his chest, the two of them held their breath.
"Ethan Quinn?"
